Bharat Bandh called by non-Congress parties against rising prices has met with varying response across the nation.

In Bangalore, Mumbai & Delhi like metros private schools, IT companies and shops are all closed today. In West Bengal flight operations, transport services have been badly hit. Educational institutions, offices and banks are also closed in Kolkata as well.

In Maharashtra, express trains like Sinhagad, Indrayani and Vidarbha express have been stopped on the railway tracks. The BEST bus service as well as local trains – life line of Mumbai continue to operate. Few reports of stone pelting on state transport buses in Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Mulund  have come in though.
